FAAB System
January 1st of each year every team is given $50 to their budget. On July 1st of each year every team is given $25. Cash can be traded and there is no max amount of cash a team can have. All players in the ESPN database can be bid on using the FAAB rules on a daily basis with a minimum bid of zero dollars. If the player is a prospect and IN the database you can add him to your active roster with the FAAB system with a minimum bid of zero dollars or you can add him to your minor league roster for a fixed $5. If the player is a prospect not in the database the only option is to add him for a fixed $5. Adding a prospect for the fixed $5 can be done at any time of the day. FAAB claims will process at 11:00pm every day. Tie breakers go to waiver system.
Prospect System
Rookie Team
Your Rookie Roster will consist of all the rookies you drafted in our First Year Player Draft for that season. Rookies will remain on this roster until the following July when they will be called up to your Single A team. The only way to add players to this roster is by trading for another player on a rookie roster or by the draft. If you trade for a parent club rookie or parent first time fantasy draft-eligible international player who is not on a rookie roster that player will have to go to the Triple A team. There is no Cap for this roster.
Single A
Your Single A Roster will consist of all 2nd year rookies (players called up from the rookie team). Players will be on this roster for 1 full year (July to July). The same rules for the rookie team apply to this team. The following July all players on this team must be added to your Triple A team or you have to cut them. There is no cap for this roster.
Double A
Your AA Roster will consist of all 3rd year rookies (players called up from the A team). Players will be on the roster for 1 full year (July to July). The same rules for the rookie and A team apply to this team. The following July all players on this team must be added to your AAA team or you have to cut them. There is a limit of 7 for this roster. Any eligible players over 7 must go directly to AAA, majors, or be released.
Triple A
Your Triple A roster will be a 40-man roster consisting of prospects you have called up from any of these 3 teams, added in free agency or acquired by trade. Any unowned player that has less than 50 innings pitched or 130 at bats is classified as a prospect and can be on this roster.
***You can also add any unowned prospect to your Triple-A roster at any point during the regular season (except dead periods). Prospects in the database can be added to your major league roster using the FAAB blind system for any price including $0. If a prospect is not in the system or he is in the system and you want to add him directly to your Triple-A roster he will cost a fixed $5.
***Once a player who has exceeded the 50/130 limit is added to your active roster he cannot be sent back to your prospect roster. However, he can be left on the prospect roster until they pass 100ip/260ab. You have until 11:59pm the day after he exceeds 100/260 to add him to your active roster. There will be a fine of $20 FAAB if you don't call a player up by the deadline.
***The deadline to put a player back on your prospect roster from your active roster after he passes the 50/130 limit is 11:59pm the day after he goes over the limit. There are no exceptions or fines for this rule. If you miss the deadline the player must stay on your active roster or if you cut, he'll become a free agent.
***If a prospect is dropped from an active roster or a prospect roster and is in the ESPN database, normal FAAB rules will apply the FOLLOWING day. (example: Prospect is dropped at 10:00am on a friday. Prospect will first become available for pickup via FAAB rules at 11:00pm on Saturday.) If a prospect is dropped from a prospect roster and is NOT in the ESPN database, then a 24 hour period will commence at 11:59pm the day he was dropped. During this period you can post that you want to add said player for the fixed $5. Tiebreaker will go to the team with the highest waiver spot (reverse order of total points scored for the season).
***All first-time fantasy draft-eligible international players (including parent international players) will be available during the next draft (supplemental or rookie draft). If an international player signs after the rookie draft or fantasy draft has already began, they will not be available until the next draft.
***All unowned prospects and first-time draft-eligible international players are eligible in the Supplemental Draft.
*** There is an "In the Majors" section for our minor league teams on the weebly page. It is underneath the rookie team. Anytime you call up a player to your major league roster, we will add them to this section and remove them from your prospect roster. When they are sent back down, we will put that player back on the prospect roster and put an asterisk beside them. Meaning the next time you call that player up, it is for good. The rule is you can only call up a player from your minor league rosters 1 time freely, the 2nd time is permanent. If you added a prospect directly to your major league roster from free agency, they will not receive an asterisk the first time you send them down.
***If you draft a rookie who does not sign, you can still keep the player in hopes that he does eventually sign with a baseball club in the future.
***There will be no compensation draft picks given out for any circumstances.
*** Rights to prospects can be traded between teams and eligibility for those teams will carry over to the new team. (acquire rookie or single A players and put them on your rookie or single A teams). If you trade for a player who has an asterisks, the asterisks will remain.
Parent Prospect Benefits/Rights
***Post rookie draft, two non-drafted parent club 1st year pros (drafted and first time fantasy draft eligible) can be added to your rookie team.
***You will have an opportunity to add remaining non-drafted parent players (including first time fantasy draft eligible international players) to your AAA roster if you choose to do so and have roster space after the draft is complete.
***It costs $0 to add any parent club prospect.
***You can add parent prospects any time including the off-season, except during the supplemental draft and 1st year players (unless otherwise indicated).
